Privacy Policy

Food-X Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") hereby establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "the Services").


Article 1 (Personal Information)
"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, meaning information about a living individual which can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data such as facial images, fingerprints, voiceprints, and insurer numbers on health insurance cards, which can identify the specific individual by the information alone (personally identifiable information).


Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
The Company may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when they register for use. In addition, the Company may collect transaction records and payment information including personal information exchanged between the user and partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad distribution destinations, hereinafter referred to as "Partners").


Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows:

  1. To provide and operate our services

  2. To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)

  3. To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns of services being used by the user, and information about other services provided by the Company

  4. To contact users when necessary for maintenance or important notices

  5. To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Services for fraudulent or improper purposes and to refuse such use

  6. To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registration information, and to view usage status

  7. To charge users for paid services

  8. For purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)

  1. The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably deemed to be relevant to the original purpose.

  2. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, the Company shall notify users or make a public announcement on this website in a prescribed manner.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations.

  2. However, information may be provided without consent in the following cases:

    • When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and obtaining consent is difficult

    • When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and obtaining consent is difficult

    • When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency, local public body, or their contractors to perform duties stipulated by law, and obtaining the user’s consent may hinder the execution of such duties

  3. When prior notice is given or publicly announced and reported to the Personal Information Protection Commission, including:

    • That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties

    • The items of data provided to third parties

    • Means or methods of provision

    • That provision to third parties will be stopped at the user’s request

    • How to accept the user’s request

  4. Notwithstanding the preceding items, the following cases shall not be considered third-party provision:

    • When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use

    • When personal information is provided as a result of a merger or other business succession

    • When personal information is jointly used with a specific party and the user is notified in advance or the information is made readily accessible, including: the items of personal information used jointly, the scope of users, the purpose of use, and the name of the person responsible for managing the information

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. When a user requests disclosure of personal information, the Company shall respond without delay. However, disclosure may be withheld in whole or in part in the following cases, and if so, the user will be notified without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged.

    • If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or a third party

    • If it would significantly hinder the proper operation of the Company’s business

    • If it would violate other laws and regulations

  2. Notwithstanding the above, non-personal information such as history and characteristic information will generally not be disclosed.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. If a user finds that the personal information held by the Company is incorrect, they may request correction, addition, or deletion ("correction, etc.") in accordance with the Company’s procedures.

  2. If the Company determines it is necessary to respond to such a request, it shall make the correction, etc., without delay.

  3. If the Company makes a correction, etc., or decides not to do so, it shall notify the user without delay.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

  1. If the user requests the suspension or deletion of personal information due to it being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose or obtained by improper means, the Company will conduct a necessary investigation without delay.

  2. If the Company determines it is necessary to respond to the request, it shall suspend use or delete the information without delay.

  3. The Company will notify the user without delay if it suspends use or decides not to do so.

  4. If suspension or deletion involves a significant cost or is otherwise difficult, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the user's rights and interests, the Company will take such alternative measures.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

  1. Except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to users.

  2. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Policy shall take effect upon being posted on this website.
